company, BBM will soon be available on most compatible Windows Phone devices. For the uninitiated, BBM for Windows Phone is more than just a simple messaging client — it includes features like BBM Chats, BBM Groups, BBM Voice, BBM Channels to go with a variety of emoticons and personalization options. As John Sims, president, global enterprise solutions at BlackBerry put it:

“BBM continues to grow in popularity as millions of people use our mobile platform for chatting and connecting with friends or colleagues, and we are very excited that we will soon welcome Windows Phone and Nokia X users to the BBM community.”
The company expects the release of BBM on the Windows Store sometime this summer. And this means, all users of Windows Phone (and not just owners of Lumia devices) will be able to install BBM and enjoy the features that are already available on iOS and Android platforms, including instant sharing of photos, documents, voice notes and much more. Summer can’t come soon enough!]]>
