statement saying that custom support for Windows XP is primarily meant for large companies and organizations, as the upgrade process is usually easier for small businesses and end users:
“Custom Support is provided to large, enterprise customers whose migration from Windows XP was not complete by April 8, 2014. It is a temporary measure designed to help large customers with complex migrations. It should be considered as a last resort for customers who are in the process of migrating from Windows XP to a modern operating system.”As part of these recent agreements, Microsoft is set to provide extended support for products like Windows XP, Office 2003 and Exchange 2003 for a period of 12 months. One might imagine that most of these companies will upgrade all their PCs by this time next year. The again, the same was said last year, and the year before that, and probably the year before that!]]>
