We had teases on the PC Game Pass Twitter account for a week. We have had hype building up continually. And now we have confirmation—confirmation of one of the best games in recent times.
Confirmation that it is headed for Microsoft’s PC-focused game subscription service.
The software titan made it official that Death Stranding will be available for subscribers to PC Game Pass next week. The genre-defying open-world action-adventure will launch on August 23, with details on the exact timing to be provided closer to release.
Redmond has worked with publisher 505 Games and developer Kojima Productions directly for this release, which first arrived as a PlayStation exclusive in 2019 published by Sony.
The arrival of Windows followed a year later.
But soon, PC Game Pass users can join in the fun:

To mark the occasion, Microsoft has this announcement trailer that shows the game in action:
The title features performances by a star-studded cast, including Hollywood A-listers Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, and Lindsay Wagner.
Gamers on Windows 11 and 10 can expect features like ultrawide mode, photo mode, high frame rate, and crossover content from some well-known franchises. This is in addition to a selection of items that are unlockable as you progress through the story.
Interestingly, none of the announcement material that Microsoft shared today makes a mention of this being the more recent Director’s Cut version.
Meaning, this is very much the original edition that is hitting PC Game Pass.
