interview, Nicolai Solling, the director of Technology Services at Help AG said:
“With no fixes available, this list will only grow making usage of the OS a horribly poor decision from a security perspective. XP users need to understand that after the end of support, there will be no official way to fix any OS vulnerabilities.”So much so that hackers and cybercriminals are already said to be making and sharing lists of vulnerabilities in the operating system. Attacks then, could commence, any moment after the platform reaches end of support. The expert also mentions that most antivirus product vendors will eventually stop releasing updates for their solutions on Windows XP — leaving these users now choice but to upgrade to a newer version of the operating system one way or another.]]>

It’s a shame that there are hackers and cybercriminals out there, but I don’t think Microsoft is going to be very concerned about this. If anything, it makes people need to upgrade to Windows 8.1 even more!
Do hackers just do this stuff to wreak havoc or do they actually gain something from doing this sort of thing? I just do not get the incentive.
I believe in some cases hackers try to prove their “internet worth” and other cases they’re just being annoying. Either way, go away hackers!
Typically, hackers hack to steal information they’d have to normally pay for. Free movies/music/subscriptions. All that good stuff. Still they’re the lowest of the low on the internet!
One thing hackers help with is developing stronger codes and anti-virus programs. This obviously wouldnt be needed if hackers weren’t out there, but it keeps pushing internet/computer safety forward.
