Nokia’s deluxe new flagship Windows Phone 8 smartphone, codenamed EOS and sporting a 41 megapixel camera on the back, is stirring up quite an interest as we near its unveil.

The upcoming Lumia device with a high-end camera is expected to arrive on store shelves either as the Lumia 1020 or Nokia 909, depending on who you ask.

Now it appears that the smartphone will come with a very interesting accessory attached — a camera grip shell. Information on this has been spotted at the FCC, where the Windows Phone 8 handset has emerged as the Nokia RM-877.

The accessory will come with its very own shutter button and is said to make the lens flush with the back. It will, obviously, also offer a much improved grip on the device itself.

The Nokia EOS has been rumored to come with a 41 megapixel camera on the back, and from the way things are shaping up, this new accessory will make it resemble an actual camera even more.

Word is that Nokia will announce the smartphone this week (at an event on July 11), and the device will hit the market in the United States and Europe this month, or August at most.

We should have official confirmation on this interesting smartphone in just a few days’ time.
