OK, it’s been a while since we gave away free software so this weekend seemed as good a time as any.

One of our sponsors (Rob from DrivePop) has graciously decided to offer readers of our site 5 free licenses of their product DrivePop.

DrivePop is an online cloud backup solution for PC’s or Macs that enables you to keep your precious files, artifacts and documents in the cloud. It works by taking copies of those files and storing them safely away from your PC or Mac so in the event of a hard drive failure or some other catastrophe, you’ll be able to retrieve them quickly.

You can read my review of DrivePop here.

Anyway, Rob is giving away 5 lifetime licenses for 1 PC or Mac for free. Each of those is worth $59.95.

With each license, you will be able to back up as much data from your PC as you want to whenever you want and store it for as long as you want.

The best part is, there will be no recurring fees or payments and you’ll literally get this for FREE.

Sounds good huh?

So the next question is, what do you have to do to win this?

Pretty simple.

  1. Leave a comment below letting me know why you deserve a free license
  2. Tweet this page out on Twitter with the phrase ‘Free software giveaway on eyeonwindows.com”
  3. Facebook Like this article (below)
  4. Google +1 this article (below)

I’ll share the licenses with the winners next week.

Make sure your Disqus ID has an email address associated with it because I will need to contact you and let you know if you’re a winner.

Get engaged and you might win free backup software.

Let me know!

  • Sir I am a ITT student and I looses my data and documents Every time my computer crashes as I also belongs from a poor family I don’t have that much resources to afford cloud storage services to store my data to keep it safe. I guess this can be an opportunity to me to get my wishes fulfilled. Thank you for organizing such an awesome giveaway, wish I could be lucky one to win one license.

  • I deserve a free license because i need a big amount of storage, I also am a fan of cloud storage, I really like that my files sync between devices and are available everywhere anytime.

  • I purchased a “lifetime unlimited” backup over a month ago . The backup is still happening…I bit slow don´t you think!. Also it turns out that I don´t have “briefcase” which I have to pay for separately. Sounds like a good old USA sales pitch ..No quite a lie but not quite the truth..Just sucks one in bit by bit with never ending “once in a life time offers” Hope your commision is worth it.

  • I usually do a lot of stuff with my laptop, and in the case of hardware or Operating System failure, I don’t want to have to pay a lot of money to be able to recover the lost data on my hard drive. I also like the idea that all my data will be saved in the cloud and I can access it almost anywhere with an internet connection.

  • Having just had two hard drive failures in each of my two laptops – one a 640GB drive and the other a 750GB drive that was almost completely full (only 40GB free) I now recognize the importance of backups. I’m currently evaluating backup options and think DrivePop would be a great solution.

  • I need a free license because I’m a student and we are a bit short on money. I own a laptop with a failing hard drive and a desktop with limited disk space. I can’t afford losing all the media files containing years of memories… 🙁

  • I would greatly like a life time account on DrivePop, but some questiona arise like, What if DrivePop is gone in a year or two or perhaps five, and all my data is lost because they shut down their servers? Where are their servers located? What if their servers are hacked by the Chinese, Russians or the most likely NSA?
Anyway would you kindly enter me in this Giveaway offer….Thank You.

saved on my pc and I’m in constant change of my data that I delete them
accidentally or lose them, and at times have HDD problem due to enormous
amount of input that my computer crashes and I lose some of my files,
thus a cloud storage is a must or me.

  • I lost some Christmas photos/videos once when I thought I was backing up to my network, but wasn’t… Obviously, the data wasn’t worth anything of a monetary value, but the sentimental value was priceless…

Cloud backup would be the best solution to have an easy offsite storage option… So Choose Me!
