Asus sure looks like it is ready to grab the bull by the horns, as it has recently released a laptop/tablet hybrid in several worldwide markets, under the name of Transformer Book Trio.
And in order to promote this remarkable new device, the company has also rolled out a new advertisement that does a pretty neat job of showcasing the many different possibilities and capabilities of the product — it can be used in three different modes, after all.
The ad shows that the device makes use of Android in tablet mode, but if a user throws in keyboard, this little Transformer turns into a laptop powered by Windows 8. More adventurous users can dock the keyboard to an external monitor through HDMI, converting it into a fully capable desktop PC.
You can take a look at the video below:

Part music video, part short film, this ad boasts some impressive production values, and shows a guy that arrives at his new job for the first day. On his desk is a Transformer Book Trio, and throughout the commercial he navigates various environments depending on which mode the device is being used.
Android, in this ad is seen as something that is meant for fun, while serious productive and business work is seen as the forte of the Windows platform.
All in all, this lengthy clip allows Asus to portray the whole Transformer concept really neatly. The ad is as innovative as the overall concept, though it is fair bit lengthy meaning there is no confirmation whether this will hit the airwaves and run on television screens across the globe.
In any case, take a look at this great new ad, and slide in your thoughts in the comments.

No where were ads like this last year. It’s not a perfect ad, but it’s a good one. Hopefully these vendors learn their lessons from last year and actually get behind their product. This is what the Surface ads last season could have been if they’d added a little more detail to the dancing commercials. Maybe if they started off with someone talking about all the things they could do with the device, then cut to entertainment like this one did. My only issue with this ad is it only mentioned the processor and not how you could do a lot with the OS.
