There are times in life when even 512MB is more than enough! Owners of Windows Phone 8 devices with this amount of memory, however, had to wait to play Halo: Spartan Assault as the game had a higher RAM requirement at launch.
But a version for these low end handsets was promised to be in development.
And today, version 1.1 of the game has just gone live, which along with support for devices with 512MB of memory, also brings in 5 new missions. These missions are part of the new Operation Hydra expansion update.
Microsoft’s Michael Stroh detailed the new stuff in this blog post saying:
“In the new five-mission Operation Hydra expansion update, you intercept a haunting alien signal after the destruction of planet Draetheus V. Following the signal to the core of the planet’s moon, you discover its terrifying source—and a surprising new mystery to unravel.”
The Operation Hydra update is offered for free to all users that have bought and installed Halo: Spartan Assault. With the addition of these 5 new missions, the total number of missions that users can now enjoy goes up to 30.
And through the five new achievements, users can now grab a total of 50 points to add to their Gamerscore. Who can say now to more points?
At $6.99, Halo: Spartan Assault is one of the most popular games on the Windows Phone platform. You can take a look at things over at its official page on the Windows Phone Store.
