Finally, some Lumia 930 news. Microsoft’s strategy of delaying the launch of new Windows Phone flagships handsets until later this year when Windows 10 for Phones see daylight is having its effects.
In order to move inventory, prices of current Lumia flagships continue to free fall.
The Lumia 930, for example, went on sale in the UK last summer for £400 off contract. Now though, you can get your hands on this premium device for the sweet price of £299.99 — unlocked and with a free Fitbit Flex wearable fitness tracker thrown in.
This accessory is worth £79.99 in the market, and allows users to monitor their sleep, physical activities and calorie burn offs, with Windows Phone compatibility, of course.
Interestingly, this is not the lowest price to get the Lumia 930 in the United Kingdom.
EE is selling the handset off contract (but locked to its network) for just £199.99, though the device is not billed as new. It is labeled as good as new, and comes with the full manufacturer warranty, so if you are in the market for this handset now is the perfect time to treat yourself to some discounts.
Then again, with a successor almost guaranteed to be in development, some fans may prefer to wait for some Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 powered Lumia flagships.
But the Lumia 930 is still a very capable and feature rich solution, upgradeable to Windows 10 for Phones when the new mobile operating system launches later this year.
