He says that they are most interested in the new OS for its “insanely fast” boot up time. He also says the new start menu is highly intuitive and very interesting. While Origin is jumping right into Windows 8, they aren’t abandoning Windows 7 as an option. For gamers that aren’t interested in the new UI and the speed enhancements that are coming to Windows 8, you can still get Windows 7 installed instead. Honestly, people need to get over the whole “I miss you start menu thing”. Sure, I like the start menu. I’m not 100 percent sold on the new Windows 8 UI just yet, but I see the value in Windows 8. It is more than just a push into the tablet world. Yes, that’s a big focus here, but the desktop is truly better than ever in Windows 8.
