There had been a few doubts whether HP was serious about bringing its Omni 10 tablet in the US, in time for the Holidays, that is, but now we can safely lay these fears to rest.

Launching products just before Christmas offers its advantages, and HP is not the one to miss out.

Buyers can now place their orders on several online retailers, including both Microsoft Store and Amazon for $399. HP also has the Omni 10 listed on its official store, though it is slated for a late December release there.

Best Buy, on the other hand, has it available for the sweet, sweet price of $350.

And at this price, this is one of the finest pieces of mobile hardware you can get, right up there with the best. The Omni 10 comes with a 10-inch screen running at 1920 by 1200 pixels, powered by an Intel Z3770 processor with 2GB of RAM.

It also offers 32GB of internal storage, two cameras, and the standard array of connectivity options like microUSB and microHDMI ports, WiFi, Bluetooth and Miracast technology, round up a solid package.

Expected battery life is in the 8.5 hours range, which is another positive for the Omni 10.
