Invites have been sent out for Surface 2 announcement

Invitations have been sent out to journalists and press for Microsoft’s upcoming second generation Surface launch event.

The event will happen in New York City on September 23rd.

After an extended amount of leaks, it appears that Microsoft is ready to announce and unveil its Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 tablets.

Both the Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 will include a two-stage kickstand, but will look startlingly similar to current models. In addition, the Surface Pro 2 is expected to have Intel’s new Haswell processor which is widely expected to improve the battery life on the devices.

  • 10.6 inches and just a single usb port is still not enough

  • I hope there is a 13″ Surface Book with a 28W haswell, a 1080p screen, and all-day battery life.
