launched the third edition of this highly useful utility, and that version brought along full support for Windows 8.1. Fast forward about one year, and it is time for a very welcome refresh. The company has just released the fourth stable edition of IObit Uninstaller. And it comes with a lot of new changes, including support for Windows 8 and 8.1 Metro apps — handy if you have a few of these installed and want to remove them. The default Modern UI apps can be easily uninstalled, and same goes for third-party ones too. These are listed in a special section in the third tab on the main windows, right next to “Programs” and “Toolbar & Plug-ins”. But only if you are running Windows 8 or above, of course. This panel will not show in Windows XP, Vista or 7. IObit Uninstaller 4 also automatically monitors programs and detects any leftovers if you had removed them using any other tool, or the default built-in Windows uninstaller. Free, lightweight and painlessly easy to use. Recommended. Get it here. You never know when you might need it when a pesky program starts causing errors or leaves files behind after uninstallation. You just never know.]]>
