The documents reveal that Microsoft will be incorporating a lot of new and exciting features to their upcoming gaming console. This document is from August 2010 and it reveals that the company is planning to introduce SmartGlass, a Metro styled dashboard, and TV apps in the Xbox. They will also be including support for Blu-Ray, native 3D output and glasses, concurrent apps, additional sensors, peripheral support and much more. They are trying to make the Xbox 720 6 times better than Xbox 360 in terms of performance. They will also add 1080 output with a full 3D support with an “always on” state for the console. The document also reveals that Microsoft may cost $299 for Xbox 720.  They will be providing a Kinetic 2 hardware.
“Microsoft lays out a roadmap for its “Fortaleza” Kinect Glasses — which appears to be a research project the company is working on. There’s little mention of the hardware involved, but the glasses appear to be Wi-Fi- or 4G-enabled and incorporate augmented reality in a way that’s similar to Google Project Glass augmented reality glasses. Described as a “breakthrough heads up and hands-free device,” Kinect Glasses is marked as a 2014 product that won’t launch alongside the Xbox 720 console. Microsoft doesn’t provide any specifics about how the glasses will work on the Xbox, but they do appear to be designed to be mobile for use away from the console.” The Verge reported.
Microsoft is dreaming very big with its new device and if they succeed to do this, the Xbox720 could well be a market changer.]]>
