Huawei was one of the first companies to confirm commitment to the Windows Phone platform after Microsoft made public its plan to acquire Nokia’s devices and services unit.
It was late last week that the Chinese firm announced that it plans to stay in the Windows Phone game.
And while the company has just launched the Ascend W2 in China, recently leaked photos show that Huawei has other Windows Phone devices in the pipeline. These two photos were recently posted on the Chinese blog, CNBeta and claim to show the unannounced Ascend W3.
WMPowerUser notes that the Ascend W3 is set to be released in the Chinese market early next year in two colors, namely blue and yellow.
Having said that the two smartphones shown in these leaked pictures are not quite similar — the back of the devices are different, suggesting that either the W3 is set to arrive in two flavors, or that one of these is above pictured devices (yellow colored one specifically) is the Ascend W2.
The sources further reveal that the Ascend W3 is a midrange Windows Phone handset that is on track to be announced in early 2014 — quite possibly at the prestigious CES event.
In any case, this is good news for the overall Windows Phone ecosystem. China remains a major telecom market, and devices like these will play a large part in popularizing the Windows Phone platform worldwide in general and in the country in particular.

They need to release more than one: budget, mid-range, and high-end; and really push all 3 hard at home.
