Those of you that have been waiting for the deluxe ultrabook can now get your hands on it. Lenovo has finally unveiled the new Yoga 2 Pro, the new and improved redesign of the original Yoga 13.
The device features 360 degrees screen rotating capabilities, though its biggest highlight is the 13.3-inch multi-touch IPS display that offers a massive resolution of 3200 by 1800 pixels — good enough for anything and everything in the world.
And thanks to its completely rotatable screen and dual-hinge design, the device can be used in four different modes, as in tent, stand, tablet and laptop.
It is also thinner and lighter than the previous model, coming in at 0.61 inches thick with a weight of mere 3.06 pounds. The Yoga 2 Pro is also the first Lenovo PC to make use of its gesture recognition technology. Lenovo Motion Control allows users to wave their hands for basic actions like swiping.
Lenovo has packed the device with the latest hardware.
The base models comes with Intel Haswell Core i5 4200U running at 1.6GHz is paired with 4GB of memory and 128GB of internal SSD storage and backlit keyboard. However, Core i7 is also available as an option, while memory can be upped to 8GB and power users can avail 256GB and 512GB storage.
Bundled software includes preinstalled apps like Phone Companion, Camera Man, and Photo Touch.
Those of you interested in this device can have it at prices starting at $1,099. The Windows 8 device will start shipping on October 18, 2013 alongside the new ThinkPad.
