report claims that the company has recently filed for some new trademarks in the United States, trying to register the names LPAD and WPAD. Inspired choices, surely. Chances are that these are tablets, surely, judging by the Pad moniker. And considering the company reserves the G Pad branding for its Android slates, it could mean that these could be powered by a different operating system. Windows 8.1, you say? It is not farfetched to assume that LG might be looking at two distinct Windows tablet lineups here, with one probably for business users. WPAD? Then again, it is not farfetched to assume that the company might be trying for a tablet powered by Chrome OS, as some recent rumors have suggested. Either way, real interesting. Either way, we should find out soon.]]>

Nice article. The last sentence and the first paragraph were worded a little strangely, but the rumor is certainly something. Obviously it’s between Windows and Google I would guess, but we need to give it time before we know for sure.
Not much official news yet, but I think Windows is probably the front runner for this. And if they are, this is obviously great news! 🙂
