What makes the K810 different? This bluetooth keyboard is designed to pair with up to three different devices and can quickly and easily switch between them. Imagine having your Windows 8 ultrabook, Windows Phone, and a Windows tablet all paired. You are typing with the ultrabook while chatting through the tablet. Maybe you want to use Windows Phone for sending out a text real quick. At the push of the button, you can use the same keyboard to reach all three. Sure, this isn’t going to appeal to everyone. Still, certain types of gadget-junkies and power-users might find this to be right up their alley. The Logitech K810 also is designed to work well with task-switching in Windows 8, and has a battery that can last up to ten days on a full charge. For just $100, I think the keyboard is great. Keep in mind that you aren’t just limited to Windows devices, either. This works perfectly fine with Android and iOS. Considering a similar Bluetooth keyboard without the switching probably isn’t THAT much cheaper than this— I think Logitech did a good job here. The bigger picture is that Windows 8 is a true revolution, beyond the software. Its very different UI and wide range of compatible devices means that hardware/accessory makers are being forced to think outside of the box. This means cooler products that push and break boundaries in ways we haven’t seen in the Microsoft ecosystem before. What do you think of the idea of a Bluetooth keyboard that can switch quickly between several devices? Too gimmicky or potentially useful? source]]>
