The Lumia 1030 Could Be Here Very Soon

asked whether a new handset with the imaging capabilities of the Lumia 1020 is on the way, and this is what she replied:

One could make a case for the Lumia 1030, perhaps? Just for the record, the 41 megapixel delight, Lumia 1020 has been on the market for fourteen months, and is set to reach the end of life status next week. Which is to say that this smartphone will no longer be manufactured, but will be on sale until the current stock lasts. In reality though, even with the impressive PureView camera, this device is hampered by the slow processor that powers it, which hinders the photography experience a little. Now that we have a bit of a confirmation that a sequel is on the way, chances are that it could be the first Windows Phone 8.1 device to arrive with Update 2 (or GDR2) onboard.
