Xboy? There’s been no shortage of Xbox fans asking for a portable gaming handled from Microsoft. And it looks like the GPD WIN 2 is the answer to those prayers.
Coming this January, this is designed as a pocket PC with some elaborate gaming controls.
The company has already launched its first-generation hardware earlier this year, and this successor come as no surprise. It was spotted in the wild a while back, now the company has confirmed that it will make it available through Indiegogo starting on January 15.
As the image below shoes, the handheld looks very similar to its predecessor, though there are notable changes when it comes to the button layout.
The D-pad has been moved, and there are now more should buttons for improved controls.
In terms of specifications, this remains a very powerful creation, with hardware prowess to run many a game in low to medium settings in a portable fashion. All made possible due to the power of the Intel Kaby Lake processor.

The company claims that the device can play various games, with ease.
And it even provides an extensive list of benchmarks and videos that showcase its ability to play various games. Which is a given, considering the fact that this machine is expected to retail for $699 when it hits store shelves sometimes in August.
The Indiegogo campaign, however, begins in January, and backers will be able to get their hands on one with a discounted price of $599.
