NASDAQ: MSFT) will be taking a majority shareholder position in both my parent company Nnigma Inc. (NASDAQ: NGMA) and all associated web properties including Windows8update.com. Microsoft and I have been discussing this arrangement for quite a while (3 months) and I’m glad to say we were finally able to come to mutually beneficial terms late last week. I’ve been dying to say something to my close friends and family but have been sworn to absolute silence under an iron-clad NDA. Over the next few weeks, you can expect to see substantial branding changes and improvements to this site as well as all other technology properties now under the Nnigma banner. This doesn’t mean that you should stop reading Windows8update.com. On the contrary, under the terms of our agreement, we will be hiring 15 new writers to continue to provide strategic and objective analysis on Windows 8. I will be leaving the site sometime in the next three months to begin work at Microsoft as Assistant Vice-President of Online Marketing in the Windows division. I’ve been given the responsibility of laying out a credible online marketing framework for the upcoming release of Windows 8. I can’t go into too much detail about my new responsibilities but I can tell you this, we have a lot of exciting things coming your way in 2012. My family and I are nervous and excited about the move to Redmond and the challenges that will come with this position but what can I say, you live and you learn right? Now, about you the reader. I can’t tell you how much it has meant to me to have 20,000 of you coming to the site everyday looking for the latest news and updates about Windows 8. Your comments and words of encouragement have meant the world to me and I will miss writing these articles for you. I can only say that I hope I can continue to make you as proud of me at Microsoft as you guys are here. Thanks for your time. Onuora Oh and one last thing… [caption id="attachment_15509" align="alignleft" width="300"] Happy April Fools day[/caption]]]>

You might want to re-read the article.
Funny !!! You got me.
Good…
Congratulations Mr. Amobi!!!! Does that mean you will have more impact in the design of the final Windows 8? Or you just have to eat some of your words in exchange for that big fat MS check? Who is going to replace you as Master Blogger?  I have been a Big Fan of you and will certainly miss you. I have one big FAVOR to ask though. Kindly tell the MS folks to release a Citrix Receiver for Windows Phone 7.5 ASAP. I work in three big hospitals and everything we do is Citrix-driven… from medical records management, to email, to reporting, to accessing laboratory and radiologic data. My colleagues like Windows phone but are not able to switch for one reason – no Citrix support. I have been ranting about this in the MS, Citrix, and independent forums only to be ignored the last 6 months or so. The lack of WP7 Citrix support is not trivial for MS. In the enterprise environment, Citrix is a huge player and the fact that most employees can happily use Citrix via iPhones, iPads, and Android phones spells corporate doom to MS. You know this and as an MS fanboy now (or better as an MS employee) you now have a big say on this issue. Again congratulations and best of luck!!!Â

That was a funny episode…
You got me!!!

-.-
You Had me at “this may be the last”………
Please keep the insightful dialog going
Thanks
I’ll do my best…
Please….I don’t know how the rest of you could be so gullible. Did any of you even look at the date before reading this? I though must give credit as it was extremely funny reading the replies and seeing how many of you were actually taken in by this joke. Congrats Mr. Amobi on fooling people. You probably would have nailed more of them if you had not told them what happened as that would have violated your NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement meaning you were not to talk about it) and just said you were acquired by MS and left it at that. All in all it was a nice joke.
Thanks…
Woww. Onuoro man congratulations . All the best for your upcoming Job and challenges u will facing. Go and rock it , how u r rocking here. yah one thing i will missing u writing. once again All tthe best sir.

Ya had me worried, thought u sold out. Just kidding, lol.
Hey you never know.. it could happen one day… the funny thing is that if it did now, no one would believe me.
Ques. What do you get when you mix a good blogger with a sense of humor?
Ans. Onuora!
I try. I try..
oh dam u got meÂ
I got the joke within the first paragraph, the only reason I could see Microsoft buying this site is for the name, the rest was a pretty big tell given most of the other recent articles. However, I did think the e-mail about Advanced System Care the other day was an April Fools day hoax. Then I looked and noticed that April Fools was still a few days away. While I sometimes don’t agree with Onuora’s opinions professionally, I still never imagined that his company would ally itself with one that has IObit’s reputation.
Send me an email via the contact form about Iobit. I would love to hear more.

Glad to see this is still catching people off guard.  🙂
Hi Onoura. We have no plans of acquiring your company right now as we are still enjoying the free publicity you generate for Microsoft. Maybe next year. Regards to all!Â
Oh my word Onuora!
How creative is that imagination of yours? lol
