The IT Service giant has announced the introduction of a blockchain data management service and new tokens across blockchain ledgers.
Azure, Microsoft’s cloud service powered by the blockchain, say that their aim is to make the tokenization process much simpler, including the creation of tokens, and management of them, in compliance with the latest industry standards.
The new tools and services are designed to help Azure customers use the services easily. Microsoft say they are going to introduce a series of pre-built templates and a gallery to show them to users. An extensive gallery has been developed by associate partners and both the tokens and management services will be included in the future.
Matthew Kerner, the General Manager of Microsoft Azure, said,
“With this latest offerings, we can now offer customers an end to end experience of easily creating and managing tokens for physical or digital assets via digital Azure Blockchain Tokens (preview), in addition to managing the blockchain network itself via Azure Blockchain Service.”
The new management service is designed to make the process of forming and maintaining blockchain-based networks that much easier. It will allow users to collect the ledger data, transform and deliver it across multiple sources, using Azure Cosmos DB and Azure SQL Database. Transactions are supported on private and public blockchain ledgers, making it much easier to integrate data with the existing application.
And one last big announcement from Microsoft Azure – a reward program called Azure Heroes, which are non-fungible blockchain tokens designed for the developer community.
