Took a while coming, but Microsoft Band is now going places. Places, as in retailers like Amazon, Best Buy and Target, as well as across the pond, in the United Kingdom.
This after months and months of limited supplies.
Microsoft unveiled its first wearable back in October 2014, and while interest in the device has been fantastic, meeting the demand turned out to be rather hard — harder still, considering hints that the company only produced limited inventories in the first few months.
In fact, the device ran out of stock less in than 24 hours multiple times when it was made available.
But that’s all in the past now, Redmond says.
The company has now lined up larger shipments of the device, and that too on a regular basis. And not just at Microsoft Stores, but other retailers too across the United States.
Redmond has also confirmed that the Band is coming to the UK, with sales starting April 15 at retailers like Amazon, Curry’s PC World, Dixon Travel, Harrods and O2.
Going places, alright.
Microsoft Band currently retails for $199 in the US, but pricing in other parts of the globe are expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks and months.
