You are cordially invited! While details are scarce, Microsoft appears to be holding an education-focused event this Tuesday, November 9. The event will get underway at 9 a.m. PT (12 p.m. ET).
Interestingly, this gathering is set to take place about a month after the launch of Windows 11. The software titan will likely discuss the education-focused updates that it has been working on for its operating system at this gathering.
The event is hyped up to reimagine education, and went official towards the end of last week on the company’s invite website.
The cryptic description reads:
“Join us at 9 a.m. PT on Tuesday, Nov. 9, as we share an inside look at the latest tech solutions while examining gaps in learning left by the pandemic. Hear from Microsoft partners, school leaders and a few special guests, and learn about new and existing technology from Microsoft Education.”
Apart from updates for the OS, Redmond might also have some hardware unveils in store.
As we learned earlier, the company is reportedly working on a new Surface laptop with a codename of Tenjin. It is said to be geared towards the educational sector and will be powered by Windows 11 SE.
The device is rumored to sport an 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 resolution display, and houses an Intel Celeron N4120 processor that is paired with up to 8GB of RAM. This highly affordable device is clearly being designed with young students in mind.
No better chance than an education-focused event to take the wraps off of a device of this sort.
