talked about this in briefly, saying:

“Unity makes it easy for you. Now Microsoft is sweetening the deal for the talented and committed Unity developers who want to bring their existing Unity titles to Windows Store and Windows Phone. With a new incentive offer, Microsoft is supporting the creation and launch of the best made-with-Unity games and apps on Windows Phone/Windows Store. The new offer helps to clear the way for talented and committed Unity developers to reach millions of new players and users.”
So basically, developers get two tiers of benefits. But first the requirements — only Unity 4 games and apps are eligible, not those based on the earlier versions of the engine. And not only are developers required to have experience with mobile games, their games already listed on the Windows Store have to have a significant amount of downloads. Oh, and a three start rating, minimum. Qualify these marks, and you will be eligible to receive everything from free Dev Center accounts to Windows 8 licenses, and even Windows phones and tablets. Microsoft will even highlight your app with 1 million ad impressions, featured placements, priority reviews and technical assistance. You can’t ask for more really, from what clearly is a scary good promotion.]]>
