But a new job ad was recent unearthed talking about a smaller Surface tablet sporting a 7 or 8 inch display size running Windows Blue. The ad posted on the Coroflot job website points to the fact that smaller tablets could soon be launched in the coming months:
“Are you passionate about building cool devices and technologies? The Surface Team focuses on building devices that fully express the Windows vision. A fundamental part of our strategy is having desirable and powerful devices that enable the experiences people want, and elicit their excitement. We are currently building the next generation and Surface needs you!”
The next generation Surface, you say? Where do I sign up?
Of course, Microsoft remains tight lipped on this, though the software titan recently lowered the minimum screen resolution requirement for Windows 8 devices to 1024 by 768, suggesting that smaller devices powered by its operating system may be released in the near future.
Market watchers expect the company to launch these devices around the same time it brings the next version of its flagship operating system, Windows Blue, out on the store shelves.
