With the second generation Surface units out in the wild, Microsoft is now focusing on improving sales of these slates. And when it comes to this, official accessories are an important factor for buyers.
Microsoft has regularly unveiled new accessories, and this case (pun always intended) is no different.
Redmond has just rolled out some new protective covers for the Surface 2 — and these not only protect the device, they look good doing so. These are designer fittings, and Microsoft highlights several of these on the official Surface blog.
As Microsoft explains in the post:
“Chances are if you’ve purchased a Surface you want to protect your investment and keep it safe. You may also want something functional and fun to carry around your Surface in. There is a growing assortment of cases and sleeves that range from stylish to very functional for Surface that fit the bill.”
There are a few new sleeves from Trina Turk that come with a soft microfiber interior and offer prints in several attention grabbing colors. And then there is the Maroo Folio Case, which is made of genuine leather and offers protection for both the front and back sides of the slates.
But the most stunning of the bunch is the Capture case that comes with an adjustable strap.
All these new accessories can now be purchased on Microsoft Stores, and the company is working with partners around the globe to make them available everywhere where the Surface slates are sold.

The comment box is still right on top of the “More Windows News” pictures. Bad form and hard on the credibility.
Should be better now.
