For a company its size, Microsoft sure does like releasing some things very silently. The company launched a beta version of the second service pack for Office 2010 back in April.
And earlier today, Redmond decided to release the final version of its service pack for the older version of its productivity software suite. The Microsoft Downloads page has a bunch of new Office related SP2 files available.
According to ZDNet, both the 32-bit and 64-bit service packs for Office 2010 contain all the previous fixes and updates made to the software, up until May 2013. They also include some patches that were previously unreleased, making this an essential download for users of Microsoft Office 2010.
Microsoft says that these new bug fixes offer improvements in all three key areas — stability, performance and security — for Office 2010.
The software titan has also released the final SP2 version for SharePoint 2010.

Microsoft Office 2010 is actually no longer available for purchase. The software titan (quietly) stopped selling Office 2010 after launching Office 2013 in January this year.
Mainstream support for the older version of the productivity software suite will continue until November 2015, while extended support for Office 2010 will not end before November 2020.
