Keep the good going! Redmond is slowly and steadily redoing the Microsoft Store. The big idea is to not just pack it with new wares, but also improve the overall user experience of the application repository.

To that end, even little features like new animations add to the experience.

The company’s current focus seems to be on elements like user interface, navigation between the different libraries, performance, and even how users interact with the apps and games that are available there.

The latest on the matter is that the software titan has rolled out a new update for the Microsoft Store.

Version 22107.1401.6.0 is now rolling out to testers in the Windows Insider Program Dev channel. According to the company, the latest update for the Store on Windows 11 improves the overall user interface, enables a new panel for ratings and reviews, and introduces better media PDPs.

Some users have also noticed minor improvements to the library.

And this is how the redesigned ratings and review dialog looks once you update to the latest version of the Microsoft Store on Windows 11. The dialog is migrated to native from WebView, uses C# and XAML, and is in line with the WinUI guidelines that the company is now following.

Do note that although you may receive the new version, don’t expect to notice any big changes right off the bat. That’s because they are not activated for everyone right now.

Microsoft likes to do things gradually, conduct A/B tests for all new features and additions, and all that.

But overall, this is some good stuff.

Long overdue, good stuff.
