Windows enthusiasts and Microsoft fans in the UK, Australia and other European countries may have a reason to celebrate next month. Redmond is ready to debut Surface Pro in these markets.

Surface RT, obviously has seen action in no less than 25 countries around the world by now.

But the luxurious Surface Pro had to battle supply issues right from launch with the 128GB variant of the slate a highly sought after item the first few weeks after launch. Now it appears that Microsoft has streamlined production and is ready to bring the tablet in several important markets around the globe.

The technology titan detailed its plans in an official post on the Surface blog:

“We know it took us a while to get back to you, but we hear you, and are excited to be able to provide an update on the countries where Surface RT and Surface Pro will be launching in May and June. Additional details on launch events, retail availability, and pricing will be provided in future posts to this blog and via twitter at @Surface ahead of actual launch dates.”

Quite a heartfelt message, if I say so myself.

So then, let’s talk turkey. Before May is out the Surface Pro will launch in these countries —Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, New Zealand, The Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Malaysia, Russia, Singapore, South Korea and Thailand are said to get the Surface Pro by the end of June.

Surface RT is also expanding to some new markets straight away.

April 25 is said to see the debut of consume tablet in Malaysia. Mexico will get the RT tablet by the end of May, and consumers in South Korea along with Thailand can get their hands on it before June is out.

All in all these are some very aggressive expansion plans, with a lot of markets getting in on the action very soon. It stands to reason that Microsoft had organized its retail channels with the Surface RT, and now the Pro version of the tablet looks to get the same treatment.

Now all we need are some updated sales numbers to go with this expanded retail availability.
