It was only about time. While the Surface Pro fiesta is in fast swing back in North America, Microsoft is getting ready to bring the Surface RT to the Old Continent with an extensive marketing blitz.
The company’s first tablet is about to go on sale in Europe this month, and according to reports by the German website WParea.de, Surface RT ads can now be seen all across Germany, including TV spots and commercials that showcase the main features of the tablet.
Take a look at one of the flashy video ads below:
Localized versions of The Surface Movement commercials are currently airing on several TV channels as Redmond attempts to let buyers in these markets in on the fact that the tablet is about to go on sale over there very soon.
Microsoft had already announced a while back in a press release that the Surface RT is set to be released in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
In fact, the date set was for today, February 14, and pretty sure we should be seeing some numbers being reported from these important markets.
Redmond had also promised that even more markets will be announced at a later date, and I am fairly certain they will include important Asian destinations, along with other countries.
And who knows, one Microsoft tunes into these new channels, we may see a similar pattern of release for the Surface Pro in the months to come. In fact, I don’t see how it should be any different.
Nevertheless, how these new markets react to the Surface RT will be evident in the days and weeks to come, and is surely something worth keeping an eye on.

Will they ever learn to make ads?
Microsoft ads are usually more miss than hits. Wonder what they learn by the hits, not much it seems.
