The Office 365 party continues in full swing. Microsoft has already convinced a lot of organizations in the United States to subscribe to its cloud-powered productivity suite, and carries on doing so.

And the results are showing, with the company scoring a number of big wins and major US partnerships.

But alongside the US market, the software titan has switched its focus to other places, like the Old Continent for instance. The latest is that the Microsoft has recently convinced several new schools and universities in Europe to make the move to Office 365.

In a press release the president for the CEE region at Microsoft, Don Grantham said:

“We are honored to work with so many educational institutions, helping them to use technology to improve student outcomes as well as address their staff and faculty IT needs through enhanced collaboration, communications and productivity.”

The list of schools that adopted Office 365 includes names like School Center Skofja Loka (Slovenia), EDUCATIVA (Romania), TEI Kalamata (Greece), Kozminski University (Poland), University of Maribor, Faculty of Economics and Business (Slovenia), and Vaikystes Sodas (Lithuania).

Office 365 packs a new generation of communication and collaboration tools that can easily be personalized for educational institutions, and this has been cited as one of the important factors in these institutes making the move to the cloud-based solution.

In fact, as has been the case throughout the company’s history, the education sector continues to factor heavily in Microsoft’s new strategy as a devices and services solution provider.
