One contest a day is usually enough for fulfillment, but Microsoft has also kicked off a brand new contest for its search engine users. And it goes without saying that Redmond loves its Bing users something special.
Microsoft recently launched a Skype for Outlook.com contest, and now the technology titan is back with another one — this time giving users a chance to showcase their photos right on the home page of Bing.
Eh, things rarely get more special than this.
This new contest is called Bing’s Hometown Homepage Photo Contest (it is a mouthful, I’ll give you that) and it offers fans and users of the service a chance to post their very own photos on the Bing homepage and be seen by millions of users around the world.
All you have to do is submit pictures showing the beauty of your hometown.
Microsoft detailed the contest and prizes, and one look at them makes it is plain evident that this special new contest is focused squarely on photography:
“The winner will also receive a new Nokia Lumia 1020, 500px membership and canvas of the winning photo. But that’s not all! The same day, Bing and The Nature Conservancy will celebrate the winner’s creative contribution and hometown pride by hosting a day of service in their hometown.”
So then — you guys game?
If you want to register for the contest, you will need to check out the Bing Homepage App on Facebook and submit your photos before September 3 cutoff date. The lucky winners are to be announced just a few weeks after that — October 1 to be exact.
