DirectX 12 Ultimate
If you want the ultimate in PC gaming, then DirectX 12 Ultimate is here to deliver. This feature comes with a bunch of impressive bells and whistles that go a long way in providing smoother graphics with increased details, without sacrificing framerates.
This newest iteration of DirectX only works with supported titles and graphics cards.
Xbox Game Bar
It’s hard to call the Xbox Game Bar just a game bar. It truly is the whole package, when it comes to features and abilities. And this whole package just got a whole lot better, as Microsoft has brought exceptional level of customization and utility in the May 2020 Update.
Xbox Game Bar now supports third-party widgets, which go a long way in helping you customize the overlay experience fit with how you game.
Memory improvements in Microsoft Edge
The shiny new web browser has been hogging all the headlines lately, what with Microsoft bringing new features to it left and right. But perhaps none is as impressive as what the company calls Segment Heap, which has been the default heap for UWP applications for quite some time now.
This new feature is now available for Microsoft Edge, making it one of the first Win32 programs to make use of this capability.
Initial results have shown that devices on the May 2020 Update witnessed a 27% decrease in memory usage when browsing with Edge. This not only provides a snappier experience, but it also makes more RAM available for other apps to use. Think of this as memory management turned up a notch. Or two.
