Rumors sure do have their own special charm to them. And undoubtedly the most interesting type of speculation is about upcoming products, devices and services, and what they will bring to the table.
And as far as Nokia is concerned, the Finish telecom giant seems on track to bring a variety of new goodies to the table, with most of them sporting newer, faster processors, and the eagerly anticipated 1080p resolution displays.
And just recently, a new Nokia device has been spotted at the Bluetooth SIG — the Bluetooth Special Interest Group, for the uninitiated. This one features the model number RM-940, and rumors has it that it also sports a 1080p touchscreen display.
NokiaPowerUser believes that the smartphone could well be the large 6-inch Nokia Windows Phone 8 device is doing the rounds these past few weeks. This phablet is expected to arrive on shelves at AT&T in the coming months.
One important point of interest is that the phone is listed at the Bluetooth SIG with a new QDID, one that actually points at the newer Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800, 400 and 200 processors.
Now this could actually mean a couple of things.
First off is that the RM-940 could in fact be the Snapdragon 800-based Lumia device. But there is also a very distinct possibility that the Finnish telecommunications titan is gearing up to release of number of midrange full HD handsets — in which case, this could new phone could be one of them.
Nokia is due for a product refresh, after all.
But fingers crossed, we get to hear more details on this soon. This curious new device is definitely in existence, and additional information on this matter should be hearing our way in the very near future.
