One of the newest Windows Blue features that first came to light last week was the brand new Reading List option that is said to allow users to save links and content for later access.
Microsoft has not detailed this new feature in full, but we have heard from reliable sources that this “Read It Later” type feature is going to be an important part of the upcoming operating system.
The software titan did, however, present this new feature at TechEd, and the folks over at Win8China were swift enough to catch it on camera. The photo above shows how the Reading List feature will be integrated into the OS.
As can be seen from the image above, Reading List is part of the Share Charm and comes with its very own interface that uses the same Metro design philosophy of all other modern apps.
Obviously this feature is mostly aimed at consumers who use Windows on tablets, and the feature itself is specifically optimized for touch.
More information about the Reading List feature — as well as other improvements in the upcoming operating system — are set to be provided on June 26 at the BUILD developer conference.
Redmond is also expected to launch the preview build of the operating system on this day.
