“This version has been updated to improve reliability and to address data loss issues.” Nice and simple, but you can expect stability and performance improvements after deploying this new version. The feature set, however, remains unchanged, and no new options are added. Available for Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1, the Reader app allows users the ability to open PDF, XPS and TIFF files, and they can do basic productivity tasks like filling in forms, add notes, highlight content, along with print, save and share their documents. Simply fire up the Windows Store and the update should be waiting for you there, ready to be downloaded. Alternatively you can take a look at the Reader app here at this link and install it manually.]]>

Fixes are always good publicity. I have a question, though. Did this bug cause data from the entire tablet to be wiped or just data from the reader app?
Thank God. I have dealt with this issue first hand and it is not fun! Microsoft’s statement wasn’t very verbose, which makes me a little hesitant to believe. I’ll give it a chance and report back.
Opening PDF files is something that all people need nowadays, so this update is extremely important!
