Why just create a 10-inch tablet, when you can also design an 8-inch variant? This seems to be exactly what Nokia is thinking right now, as rumors that the company is gearing up to release a smaller slate continue to intensify.
This time we have an idea of what it is called, and when we may see it in physical form.
A mere month and a half remains till 2014 gets here, and with a new year comes the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Everyone who is anyone is preparing the latest devices for the event. And Nokia, it appears, is ready to unveil some of its new products at MWC 2014.
This new report, citing an insider tip, is claiming that the Finnish technology titan will introduce the anticipated 8-inch tablet that we have been hearing about for some time now.
Named the Nokia Lumia 2020, the small slate will be powered by the Snapdragon 800 processor, and will run Windows RT 8.1. A 1080p display is pretty much guaranteed, ensuring that the device will not only have a higher pixel density than the Lumia 2520, but will also be a tad faster.
Stylus support is also reportedly in the mix.
Earliest of rumors, yes, but we should find out the full details in the coming months. The conference, by the way, is set to be held in February from 24 to 27 of the month.
