released to good fanfare and great review back towards the end of last year. But the first quarter of 2014 is about to end, and we have no follow up on how the device is performing on the market. We do, however, know that Nokia cancelled plans for a smaller version, the Lumia 2020. Anyway, those of you that are based in the UK and have been holding out for a special deal for the Lumia 2520 can now make your move. Retailer John Lewis has axed the price of this tablet in the country by a clear cut £100. It comes down to savings of $165 or €120, so a pretty significant discount. You can take a look at the device here on the retailer website, where it is available for £299.95. The fine print? None. Only that this special promotion is to end this week and is not permanent. So if this is an offer you can’t refuse, then make your move. Now! Oh, by the way, here are the obligatory hardware specifications of the Lumia 2520. It offers a very spacious 10.1-inch of screen real estate, full HD, with a protective layer of Gorilla Glass 2. A 2.2GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip handles processing duties along with 2GB of RAM. The device also offers 32GB of storage to go with its WiFi and 4G LTE capabilities.]]>

  • I wouldn’t mind getting on in the US for the right price

    • Right on, Ray. If that was $300, I would seriously consider buying right this second. Terrific value.

  • This is definitely a good price and I know it won’t last, but I have to wonder if they’re doing this as a publicity stunt or because they’re struggling so badly. I hope it’s the former.

  • So this offer only applies to the UK? That’s unfortunate…

  • Clearly this is a great offer, but as Ted said, it seems like it’s only offered in the UK, which is disappointing to folks in the US. Oh well, hopefully a US discount is on its way.

  • Full HD and the size and hardware it has definitely makes this a steal! I wonder why they’re selling it this low, but it’s a great deal no matter the reason at least according to reviews and feedback.
