details about Nokia McLaren, previously known as Goldfinger, last week. This is on track to become the new Microsoft flagship smartphone for 2014. And according to some new information, Nokia McLaren is on track for release in November, sports a design similar to the Lumia 1520, but in a much smaller form factor. That is, a 5.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display. But that’s only half the story. The good news is that Microsoft appears to be going all out in terms of display resolution, and this upcoming flagship is said to come with a quad HD resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels. Obviously, a monster processor is required to power this display, and if the rumors hold true, then the McLaren will become one of the first smartphones to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and the Adreno 420 graphics unit. Some 3GB of RAM is expected, 16GB of internal storage, backed up by 128GB via the microSD card slot. In terms of software, the smartphone will reportedly run Windows Phone 8.1 GDR2 out of the box, and will launch globally as Microsoft’s flagship Lumia handsets. In the US, it is set to be available on all three major carriers, namely AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless. Now keeping in mind the fact that several sources corroborate this information, it is a fair bet that there is some truth in these rumors. We will find out soon enough, either way. What about you folks? Excited about this extraordinary handset? Comment away.]]>

  • Looks like this will be a great phone. And it’s great that it will be on the 3 biggest carriers, but they need to always having something coming out that goes straight to all the other carriers
