Lumia smartphone users can now treat themselves to the latest flavor of the Nokia Music application, which has just been made available for download. Version 3.11 brings several appealing new features to the popular music app.
One of the major enhancements this new version brings is the ability to “Like” favorite artists. Users also get the option of receiving detailed information on the gigs and releases of their chosen bands, singers and musicians.
Plus, users will find that notifications now appear in-app — but they can also be displayed on the Live Tile and Lock Screen if preferred. And as the release notes reveal, this new update also bring sa series of bug fixes and performance improvements.
The official description states:
“Discover a world of music and local gigs with Nokia Music. With hours of online listening choose mixes from our music experts, recommendations based on artists you love, or created from your personal music profile. You can even choose mixes to listen to offline.
Play your own music, download new mp3s or find the latest gigs nearby.”
And while the available features vary by country and region (determined from the SIM in the device), the app remains one of the most popular choices in the Windows Phone Store as it also ties into the premium Nokia Music+ service.
Be aware though that this latest update seems to block Xbox Music for some users. Here is hoping that Nokia can look into this and sort the issue out soon.
