Office 16 Apparently Coming To Windows Phone Too

From Windows (desktops, tablets and laptops) to smartphones running Windows Phone. Currently all Windows Phone powered devices come with a copy of Office by default, and Microsoft surely wants to carry on with this advantage once the new flavor of the productivity suite comes around. That should help these handsets in competing against other smartphones. And then obviously there’s the talk of Windows RT merging together with Windows Phone. The company wants to create a single, unified operating system for ARM based smartphones and tablets. A touch optimized version of Office is also in the works for Windows based devices, as was confirmed earlier this year at the BUILD developer conference. Rumors peg the Office 16 release date somewhere in the summer of 2015, which places it round around the time Windows 10 is expected to get here.]]>
