announcement today, Microsoft confirmed that OneDrive for Business is also going to be available for purchase as standalone service — good news for those that want to make use of it without registering for an Office 365 business subscription. Microsoft has also bundled a brand new search box that allows for much easier searching of files in the cloud than before. As the company notes:

“It’s smarter, with type-ahead features helping you find a document that might have been shared with you, or one that you tucked away several folders deep. You can also perform actions, like sharing these files, directly from the search results.”
A special limited time promotional pricing now allows users to sign up for OneDrive for Business for only $2.50 a month, which translates to a 50 percent discount. In fact, customers that are already registered for Office with SA or Office 365 ProPlus can get OneDrive for Business at an even more enticing rates of $1.50 per month, again for a limited time.
