Part of keeping an enterprise running smoothly is watching out for updates and ensuring that everything goes through without a hitch. This coming Tuesday marks the well-known Patch Tuesday. Microsoft’s tradition of Patch Tuesdays aren’t anything new of course, as they have been doing this for many long years now.

What’s coming this time? There are seven bulletins, four are critical and three are important. One of the criticals has to do with Internet Explorer 6, 7 and 8 in Windows XP, IE 7,8 and 9 in Vista, and IE 8 and 9 in Windows 7. It also affects IE10 in Windows 8 and RT.

There is also another important fix that will affect XP, Vista, 7 and 8.

Anything for Server? Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 Service Pack 1 will be getting a critical update as well. There is also one for Office 10. Last but not least is a security fix for Silverlight, Microsoft’s media software.

In typical Microsoft fashion, not much of the details regarding what these fixing has been released. Still it is at least important to know that these fixes are in fact coming on Tuesday.
