patent that has all the makings of an interesting little piece of hardware — a notebook and tablet hybrid that shares an awful lot of similarity with the Transformer Pad line from ASUS. Many forecast that 2-in-1 devices are to be the future of mobile computing. And although the filing does not go into too many details on whether this is, actually, a Windows powered device, it does mention something about a “notebook computer”, which is a solid enough indication that this could be a hybrid device powered by Windows 8.1. Judging by just how popular the Transformer Pad line up is, it only makes sense for Samsung to dive into this market and launch a few models. Although these are all rumors for now, don’t be surprised if this thin and light device turns out to be a hybrid powered by Intel Broadwell processors.   • Looks pretty nice. My question is how long can they continue to pass off laptops as tablets and sell both? I can’t imagine it’s much longer..
