news came out that a former Microsoft employee was arrested for leaking Windows 8 source code. It was around that time that Wzor seemed to have taken a little break. And now, after a hiatus of full month, the leaker is back. Wzor also talks a bit about future cloud iteration of Windows — the one that has been rumored for some time now. But as far as the Start Menu is concerned, it is coming sooner, rather than later. It is being claimed that this fan favorite feature will return this fall. What is not clear, however, is what the update that brings the Start Menu back will be called. Redmond might decide to call it Windows 8.2, though Windows 8.1 Update 2 also seems fairly logical. Or the exact opposite, depending on how old fashioned you are with these naming schemes. In any case, mark your calendar for autumn, folks. This is the first semi accurate bit of information we have on this, after Microsoft revealed the big news at BUILD 2014, earlier this month. There is every chance that it will be revamped Start Menu, now that it is clear that Microsoft requires time to develop and refine this feature. No summer, then, but we’ll take it! Your thoughts on this, people? Let them be known!]]>

I thought, based on reports, that this would be sooner. I’m a little disappointed I have to wait that long, but overall, I’m still happy it’s coming back. Giving us the option was the best move all along.
I wonder why they’re waiting this long. I can’t imagine it takes that long to get the start menu back in the update. Strange, unless there’s an ulterior motive.
I don’t get this. If it’s something that used to exist, they just announced it was coming back, why on earth is it not coming back until the fall? Can’t imagine this will be the most popular PR decision…
Okay, now how will you get to the actual start screen?
Yeah I know. Maybe Microsoft has decided to dump it for the Pro Windows but to keep it on the tablet Windows. Anyways, I think they got the “Universal App” thing understood among developers now anyways.
I’m not sure why this is news. They said at BUILD it would be a future update that added back the start menu. I expected that to mean at least 3 or 4 months before it takes place. I NEVER expected it to happen by the summer. I’m not sure what anyone would be upset about. I’m not sure I like the way it looks in the example, but I’ll accept it as long as modern apps appear on the start menu.
I’ll be glad for the start menus return for a couple reasons
1. The whining will finally stop.
2. see number one.
It will come back but if the sales don’t increase that will says something interesting about those that complained.
