Steve Ballmer Dances, Screams And Cries During Internal Meeting

Good old Steve! Outgoing Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer sure has had a time of his life at Redmond, and he made sure he let everyone in on this fact during one of his final internal meetings at the company.

Thousands of Microsoft employees gathered at the Key Arena at Seattle to attend a companywide annual meeting, where they were treated to some details about future strategy and products.

And they were also treated to something else — an appearance by Ballmer.

An excitable fellow that he is, Ballmer offered a terrific show to the thousands in attendance. He did some dance moves on the stage, expressed his love for Microsoft by shouting and screaming several times, and cried towards the end

The Verge has the report on Ballmer’s final speech, where he said to the employees that we will deliver the next big thing, and we will change the world again — without actually detailing whether he was talking about a new product or a service that is in development at the company.

Additionally, he used Michael Jackson’s song “Wanna Be Startin’ Something” to jump and dance around the stage, while the workers in the audience cheered and applauded.

The report says that at the end of the song, Ballmer asked for a minute to enjoy this, with tears streaming down his face, and said:

“You work for the greatest company in the world, soak it in. I want to say thank you…this isn’t about any one person. It’s about a company that’s important, that’s forward thinking, that’s innovative.”

It wasn’t long before Ballmer played another song, “I’ve Had The Time of My Life” by Bill Medle and Jennifer Warnes, and then started screaming how he’s had the time of his life at Microsoft. Employees, it is said, were once again impressed by the performance as the speech came to an end.

Seeing as this was an internal meeting, there is almost no chance that a video will float up showing Ballmer’s performances on stage. But multiple sources confirm this, and it appears that the new successor for the post of Microsoft CEO could be finalized any time now.
