The Surface Phone may be one of the worst kept secrets in recent memory, at least in the technology world. But on the flipside, it means that fans keep on imagining what this mysterious device looks like.
This user concept is one of many that has made their way out in recent months, and well, years.
But it one of the finest ones yet.
Designer Harry Dohyun Kim released his take of what he imagines a Surface Phone could look like, and the concept render has both screens seamlessly placed to create a foldable display — without any third panel in between.
Which is interesting, as the latest patent (PDF file) hinted at Microsoft incorporating three displays in this mythic little device. The third one presumably located on the hinge of the phone and having the ability to display information regarding the other two.
Here are the renders for your viewing pleasure:
And we even have a video of what is dubbed as a “100-day design challenge” that will see the concept of this mysterious device evolve during this time span, based on user feedback.

The video only shows the actual Surface Phone concept for only about 20 seconds, but we’ll take what we get at this point in time.
Because, as of right now, even though there has been a lot of speculation and a ton of patent leaks on this device, we don’t have an official confirmation to go about. Perhaps Microsoft will make an announcement soon, amid rumors that the company is closed to finalizing its new platform.
Dubbed Andromeda, which certainly looks to be shaping up nicely.
In any case, the company might need to hurry, as a few other companies are said to be jumping into the foldable handset game, with names like Samsung and Dell the most prominent.
Let’s see what the future brings.
Any thoughts on this delightful design?

After the betrayal of the last windows phone users, and I “was” one of them, I certainly hope Microsoft never releases another phone product again.
