This is pretty impressive.
So this weekend, I called and went to several Staples, Best Buy and Staples stores in the Southern California area.
Here’s what it looked like..
Best Buy
They keep insisting that the Surface Pro hasn’t hit Best Buy on the West Coast. They say to come back Wednesday and maybe they will have units in by them. Something about a snow delay.
Walmart
Not in yet (4 stores).
Staples
5 different stores each had one display unit and that’s it. They said they were expecting more on Thursday.
So let me get this straight.
Microsoft have had the problem of making mobile hardware that people generally do not want to buy.
In this case, people want to buy these devices but Microsoft now can’t get the devices to the people?
Somewhat ironic no?

It could be the snow storm that causes the problem of distribution. But you can’t predict that ahead of time. Bad timing for MS.
