As Microsoft continues to bring its flagship Windows 8 tablet to new markets around the globe, its Hong Kong subsidiary has just announced that the Surface Pro would go on sale locally in the country.

Sales are set to start very soon — May 17 to be exact.

To celebrate the occasion, Microsoft has announced that it will be giving away free accessories to the first 150 customers, including Touch Covers, Wedge Touch mice and even Office 365 subscriptions. Needless to say, if you are in the country, it pays to visit the local stores as early as possible.

The full story is available at Liveside.net, where Microsoft Hong Kong has also revealed the pricing for the Pro model of its luxury tablet.

The 64GB model will carry a price tag of $913 (HK$7,088), while the 128GB version is set to retail for $1016 (HK$7,888). This makes it quite in line with what the tablet costs in most other parts of the world.

Speaking of which, Hong Kong is not the only market where the Surface Pro is set to debut.

Several other countries like the United Kingdom, Australia, Denmark, France, Germany, Portugal and Italy are also in line to get the tablet this month. June will see the tablet arrive in five more countries, including Korea, Malaysia, Russia, Singapore and Thailand.

The company is, however, yet to provide specific launch dates for these countries.
